Forgotten Women Composers

This piece was for a 3D design class I took in 2021. The prompt was to create an artistic scene within a box. It was a very broad prompt but I loved the challenge, especially as this was the first time I truly adventured into the three dimensional design world.
I'd gone exploring in a local recycle store one day when I found the original figurines that inspired my piece.
There was a collection of around 20 different famous composer figurines, all male. I got the idea then and there; I wanted to change the male composers into female composers that had been overshadowed in the industries history because of their gender. I picked up an encyclopedia there as well and used it as the frame of my box. Marking the page with Mozart in the upper right hand corner to change to say Women Composers.
I am very proud of this piece. I submitted it into a statewide competition, Michigan's Annual LAND (Liberal Arts Network for Development) conference, and it won 1st place in 3D Design.
